Bruce Lee Martial Arts DVDs

Thank goodness for Bruce Lee martial arts DVDs. If it were not for them, entire generations of children in the United States and around the world would never know the special gift and abilities of one of the world's greatest and most popular martial artists.

While Bruce Lee has been dead for decades, his legend lives on and continues to engage generations of kids growing up in the 21st century.

For many, Bruce Lee's popularity continues not only because of the mystery surrounding his death, but also because of the unlimited potential he showed throughout his short but illustrious career. Born in 1940 in San Francisco, California, Bruce Lee was only 32 years old when he died in Hong Kong. He was born in an hour of the dragon in the Year of the Dragon at a Chinese hospital in San Francisco's Chinatown. Bruce Lee started his acting career in the 1960s, and played several bit parts on the popular television series like Batman as well as the Green Hornet. In the early 1970s, Bruce Lee appeared in a popular detective show called Longstreet, where he was employed as a martial arts instructor by a blind character played by James Franciscus.

Rumor has it that it was Bruce Lee's idea of the television show that followed the journey of a half-breed Shaolin monk in a western known as Kung Fu, and that Bruce lost the lead role to David Carradine. It was that television show, as well as Bruce Lee's notoriety in martial arts skills, that initiated a surge of popularity in martial arts films in the United States. Bruce Lee' martial arts DVDs and collections always contain his most famous film, called Enter the Dragon, which culminated in a fight between small and slender Bruce Lee and basketball star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Bruce Lee developed a popular form of fighting called Jeet Kune Do, which in English means Way of the Intercepting Fist. Bruce Lee certified for instructors to teach this form of martial art and also instructed world karate champions, including Chuck Norris, Mike Stone, and Joe Louis.

Bruce Lee trained for several hours every day and ran two to six miles on a daily basis as well. Despite his small size, Bruce Lee was one of the most powerful and gifted martial arts fighters the world has ever seen. Thanks to Bruce Lee martial arts DVDs, fans can continue to watch his amazing skill and grace immortalized on film..
